Hyundai was awarded first place for overall satisfaction in the cars category and also in the value for money, point of sale, service and after sale service supporting categories.

Hyundai came second in reliability and performance, just behind Nissan.

The company achieved the best rating of nine car makers in Canstar Blue’s independent survey by market research professionals, Colmar Brunton.

Japanese manufacturing rivals, Nissan, Mazda, Honda, Toyota and Subaru were awarded a second place overall approval rating from customers.

Holden, Ford and Mitsubishi achieved equal third place for overall satisfaction.

Value for money
Customers gave Nissan, Honda, Holden and Mitsubishi second place for value for money, behind Hyundai. Mazda, Toyota, Subaru and Ford came in after that.

Point of sale service
Customers believed they received the best sales service at Hyundai. Ford came in second, followed by all other car makers.

After sale service
The rankings were different for after sale service. Equal second to Hyundai were Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Subaru and Mitsubishi.

Reliability and performance
When it came to reliability and performance customers were most satisfied with their Nissans. Nissan scored five in this category, against equal second-placed Hyundai, Honda, Toyota and Mitsubishi.
